Our story
The Shop Broadway Turns to for a Second Opinion
Auto Row Smog & Repair sits on Broadway in Oakland, where Brian and his brother Benjamin run the shop together. Between them they handle everything from a routine smog check to the kind of diagnostic work that stumps other shops.
We'd rather rule out the cheap fix before we quote the expensive one. When a customer came to us after another shop quoted a $14,000 turbo replacement, we inspected the car ourselves, ruled out the simpler causes, and got her back on the road for a fraction of that price.
Whether you're in for a same-day smog certificate or a repair that's been bothering you for weeks, we'll explain what we find in plain language, kids included, before we touch a thing.
- Family-run by two brothers
- Thorough diagnosis before big repairs
- Same-day smog checks
- Walk-ins welcome
What customers say
“I called at 5.45pm to ask for smog check, just 15 minutes before they close. Bryan voluntarily did overtime to get my smog done. Efficient, Professional and friendly.”
“Brian is friendly, knowledgable, and so helpful in explaining everything. The prices are incredibly fair and the turnaround is quick... He did a thorough inspection and ruled out all of the external causes for the error code and low boost pressure and explained the findings to me plainly. The car sounds and drives amazing now. Thank you so much, Brian!”
“I had an amazing experience at Auto Row Smog & Repair. Shout out to Benjamin (Owner Brian's brother) for doing my smog with the greatest of ease. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The best smog prices in Oakland!!!”
